It was a bad weekend for the Connacht counties in Division 1 of the Allianz National League this weekend, with both Mayo and Roscommon falling to defeats. Roscommon were swept aside in Monaghan 2-17 to 1-13 and Mayo were beaten at home by Cavan, 0-15 to 1-14. This leaves Roscommon at the bottom of the table without a point and Mayo in 6th place on 4 points.
Next Saturday night Roscommon face the prospect of a daunting trip to play Dublin in Croke Park at 7pm. Mayo travel to Omagh to play Tyrone on Sunday at 3pm.

In Division 2, Galway enjoyed a fine victory in a high scoring game over Derry in Tuam, 5-15 to 2-15. As a result of this they are now just a point off Kildare in top spot, and they travel to Newry to take on Down on Sunday at 3pm with their hopes of promotion and a place in the Division 2 final very much intact.

In Division 3, Sligo were beaten in Longford 0-16 to 2-7. Sligo were unable to capitalise on the two early goals they scored, and now face Offaly at home at 3pm in their second last game desperately needing a win to keep their promotion ambitions alive.
