PRESS RELEASE FROM CONNACHT COUNCIL GAA
The Connacht GAA Championship Semi-Final, Roscommon v Sligo takes place today at 4pm in Dr. Hyde Park. This is the last game to be played on the original Dr Hyde Park pitch which is being replaced this summer after almost 45 years of service to Roscommon GAA.
Please be aware that part of the N61 National Route from Sligo to Roscommon via Boyle is closed.
Road to be Closed: N61 from junction with L1400/L5651 (Caldragh Cross Roads) to junction with R370 (Croghan junction with 4 Provinces Public House), and from junction with R370 (Ballinameen junction at 4 Provinces Public House) to junction with L1026 (Knockarush Cross Roads)
Alternative Routes: Southbound traffic R361 Boyle to Frenchpark N5 Frenchpark to Tulsk
Northbound traffic N5 Tulsk to Frenchpark, R361 Frenchpark to Boyle.
Due to the amount of traffic other routes may be highlighted too.
Patrons are also reminded to take note of Match day arrangements for entry to the stadium and to cooperate with Match day stewards and Gardai. Access to Stadium will be as directed on your Match Ticket. All patrons with Stand or uncovered seating are advised to enter the stadium via the Golf Links Road only with all terrace ticket holders to enter via the Athlone Road end, see image below.
Tickets will be on sale outside the stadium from 2.30pm and there are still a limited number of Stand tickets available. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early so as to avoid queues’ at the gates closer to throw in.
